Teen Summer Reading is officially 'Unmasked'!

This summer, register your Hero, and level up your hero's abilities by reading for as much as you can.  For every hour you read during the week, you will level up your 'hero'.  Keep track of how much you read with a book log.  Turn in your book log each week to unmask your hero's talents and to make sure you are included in the weekly prize drawing, which is based on participation.

For every week that you raise your hero to level 7, you will gain an additional entry into the grand prize drawing.

There will be many chances to win prizes this summer, and many programs to make sure that you have some fun too.

Sign up today, either online or at the Adult Services desk.

Prepare to 'Unmask' this Summer at Cuyahoga Falls Library

Summer Reading is almost upon us, and this year's teen theme is 'Unmask.'  Along with opportunities to 'unmask' rewards by reading and participating in events at the library, we will be providing a variety of programs to 'unmask' your talents, your fandoms, your creativity, and your personality.  There will even be a murder mystery masquerade to 'unmask' the hidden killer in this real life game of Clue.

Lots of fun stuff happening this summer at Cuyahoga Falls Library...stay tuned for more details.

Summer reading runs from June 4-July 31.  Those in grades 6-12 are welcome to participate in the teen program.

Free Comic Book Day

Free Comic Book Day is just about here.  Saturday, May 2 is the big day, and Cuyahoga Falls Library will be participating.  If you stop into the library, there will be a selection of free comics for you to take home and enjoy.  These are first come, first serve, and we ask that you only take one of each title.

Special thanks go to John at JC Comics & Cards, who provided us with all these wonderful give-aways.  His shop, which is located at 2609 State Road, will also be giving out free comics for this big event.  Tell him Jen at the library sent you!

Anime Club in May

Anime club will be held on Wednesday May 13 & 27.  This is an ongoing group that is for teens only, or anyone ages 12-18.  Anyone under the age of 15 must have a signed permission slip to attend.

We watch anime, talk a lot about anime and video games, and basically just hang out with other like minded people.  You are welcome to bring snacks.  This group also has cosplay events, Ninja Warrior Eating Contests, and is always invited to participate in the Memorial Day Parade, walking as a part of the library.

New faces always welcome!

Call 330-928-2117 and ask for Ms. Jen if you have any questions.

Teen Advisory Board

May's TAB meeting will be on Thursday, May 14, from 4-5 pm.  Anyone in grades 6-12 is welcome to attend.  Pizza is always provided, so you will never be bored or hungry at a TAB meeting.

This month we will be discussing the upcoming Murder Mystery Party, and how to make it an event to die for!

Call Ms. Jen at 330-928-2117 ext.151 if you have any questions.  New members are new voices, which are always a great thing.
