Obituaries and death notices from over 1000 American newspapers area valuable resource for genealogical research provided by NewsBank. Search by name, date range, or text such as residence, occupation, hobbies, family members, or other personal information.
Ancestry Library Edition (in-library only)
Begin your genealogical or local history research with Ancestry Library Edition from ProQuest, which contains over 1.2 billion records in over 3,000 databases. Ancestry Library Edition includes the digitized images of the U.S. Federal Census from 1790 forward, the American Genealogical Biographical Index, Passenger and Immigration Lists Index, court records, slave narratives, reference sources, and more. Biography Reference Bank
One of the largest biographical databases available, H.W. Wilson's Biography Reference Bank contains biographical articles on over 550,000 people collected from dozens of reference sources. Articles are substantive too, with many averaging 1500-2000 words. Additionally, there are over 36,000 images and links to magazine and journal articles. Advanced searches allow for searching by profession, gender, place of origin as well as birth and death dates.
Ohio Death Certificate Index (1913-1944)
Find death certificates of persons that died in Ohio from 1913-1937. Use the index information to help in obtaining a copy of particular death certificates.
