Saturday, March 7, 14, 21 & 28, 1:00 - 2:00

Grades K - 5. Please plan to join us for this very special program! Studies show that reading to a dog can be very effective and beneficial to children who are becoming independent readers. On the four Saturdays in March, children are invited to read to our incredible troupe of certified therapy dogs. We recommend that children attend all sessions, but if that's not possible attend whatever your schedule will allow. First come, first served. Children will read to a dog for approximately 15 minutes.

Monday, March 23, 2:00 - 3:00

Join us for our annual Kid's Carnival filled with games, crafts, light refreshments and fun. This program is family friendly, registration is not required. Note for those who attend our morning story times: to allow time for us to prepare for the Carnival, we do not have story times today.

It's never too early to start reading to your child. With this early literacy program, we're encouraging you to commit to reading 1,000 books to your child before they go to kindergarten. Children who listen to 500 books will earn a book to keep and those who reach 1,000 will receive a commemorative "1000BBK" tee shirt.

Stop by the Children's Room for details and to sign up. This is an ongoing program so you can sign up anytime.
