A big thank you also goes out to our Teen volunteers, whose energy, enthusiasm and extra hands were invaluable each week during our Fantastic Fun program.

And finally, a special thank you to the handlers from our "Read to the Dogs" program who come to the Library each week and share their amazing certified therapy dogs, to help children keep up their reading skills.

Summer Reading Program 2015 has concluded, however children can still collect their incentive prizes through August 22, so keep on reading! This year we registered over 1,400 kids - congratulations to all who participated!

Stop by the Children's Room Information Desk for a Baby Bingo card. The early literacy activities on the Bingo card are designed with baby in mind! Every time you do one of the activities, put an "x" through it. Once you've completed the card stop back at the Desk for a free board book for baby. There are four titles so we encourage you to do the activities repeatedly and collect all four!

It's never too early to start reading to your child. With this early literacy program, we're encouraging you to commit to reading 1,000 books to your child before they go to kindergarten. Children who listen to 500 books will earn a book to keep and those who reach 1,000 will receive a commemorative "1000BBK" tee shirt.

Stop by the Children's Room for details and to sign up. This is an ongoing program so you can sign up anytime.
