Biography Reference Bank
One of the largest biographical databases available, H.W. Wilson's Biography Reference Bank contains biographical articles on over 550,000 people collected from dozens of reference sources. Articles are substantive too, with many averaging 1500-2000 words. Additionally, there are over 36,000 images and links to magazine and journal articles. Advanced searches allow for searching by profession, gender, place of origin as well as birth and death dates.
