Click on the name of a database to go to it. All databases are available both in and outside of the library except as noted; if you're outside the library, all databases require a library card number except as noted.
In addition to searching the databases individually, you can use the Ohio Web Library to search all the statewide information databases using a single interface. Note: This does not search the databases which are provided by Cuyahoga Falls Library.
ERIC, the Educational Resource Information Center, is a national information system supported by the U.S. Department of Education, the National Library of Education, and the Office of Educational Research and Improvement provided by EBSCOhost. It provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. ERIC provides full text of more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 1000 educational and education-related journals. ERIC is now a full text database.

Job and Career Accelerator provides tools and resources for a successful job search into one easy-to-use online application. With this innovative job-hunting system, you can create resumes and cover letters, learn about thousands of careers from a detailed listing of occupations, search job postings, and even work through an interview tutorial. Job and Career Accelerator even has an Occupation Matcher program to align your skills and experience with the job that's right for you. To get started, you must register for an account or you can use your existing LearningExpress login.
Learning Express Library (Learn A Test) provides practice tests, review materials and scoring for many academic and occupational standardized tests, including ACT, SAT, Civil Service Exam, ASVAB, GED, EMT Basic, Real Estate Sales Agent, Firefighter, Police Officer, 4th & 8th grade practice tests, Advanced Placement (AP) exams and more. In addition, a new computer skills module (with audio, video, and graphic animation) is available, as well as study guides and test-preparation materials.
Professional Development Collection
The Professional Development Collection provides a highly specialized collection of electronic information especially for professional educators. This collection offers information on everything from children’s health and development to pedagogical theory and practice. The Professional Development Collection includes abstract and index coverage for over 595 well-known professional development titles, and searchable full text for 516 journals covering the most current topics in the field of education.
Vocational and Career Collection
Vocational & Career Collection is designed for vocational and technical libraries servicing high schools, community colleges, trade institutions and public libraries. The collection provides full text coverage for 360 trade and industry related periodicals.
Workforce Skills for 21st Century Success
This resource provides tools for improving basic workplace and job search skills in addition to preparing job seekers for advanced occupational training. You can: Master core business skills (reading, writing, math, and public speaking); improve your computer skills; use job search and resume tools; prepare for certification tests; and prepare for the high school equivalency exam.
