School's out, which means it's time for the Teen Summer Reading Program! This year, teens complete bingo cards to earn Book Bucks, which are then redeemed for prizes during the Mad Scientist Auction on August 1. Each and every bingo card turned in also counts as an entry into the grand prize drawing. This summer will have programs, prizes, and more for teens. Just a reminder that Anime club is still going strong at Cuyahoga Falls library. We meet two times a month, on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30. In May, we will have Anime club on May 14 and May 28.
During Anime Club on May 14, we will work on designing a banner to carry in the community parade.
And to celebrate the end of the school year, we will be having a Cosplay party on May 28, and wishing farewell to several graduating members. We will miss you!! read more »
The April TAB meeting was a success, but we are still looking to add more members. For the May meeting, we are going to start working on the Teen Summer Reading Program. Ms. Jen needs your help!
May's TAB meeting is Thursday, May 8, from 4:00 - 5:00.
Members of the Teen Advisory Board, or TAB, will help plan programs for other teens, select books, movies and music for the teen collection, and work towards making this library a fun and safe place for other teens to come and enjoy. read more »
Are you a fanboy, otaku, a Whovian, or video game obsessed? Do you play RPG’s, Pokemon, YuGiOh, or Magic the Gathering?
It doesn’t matter why you Geek Out, you are invited to come and Geek Out at the library on Wednesday, April 30 from 7:00 - 8:30. There will be snacks.
Bring your favorite game, or geek item to share. It can be a DS, a card game, or special artifact. Ms. Jen will be bringing her 3dsXL, and the game Munchkin, and much more.
Anyone in grades 6 - 12 is welcome to attend.
FALL SESSION: Tuesday, September 16 - November 11, 6:30 p.m.
This program is limited to 25 ticket holders. Participants may pick up tickets no sooner than 30 minutes before the program begins. LEGO CLUB is for age 5 - 12 only. This program is not appropriate for children under the age of 5. All building supplies will be provided by the Library; please do not bring your own Legos to this program.
Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan! This was a surprising upset over Harry Potter, which held strong through all the rounds, and seemed like a shoe-in to take home the win.
Congrats to the winner, Nick, who had the highest number of correct bracket picks. Thank you to everyone who participated in March Madness 2014.
